The children of Lions class have all enjoyed a fabulous first week back following their Christmas holidays.
Our theme for this term is 'Up, up and away to a time long ago' with our focus being around dinosaurs. In our maths learning we have created 'shape-a-sauruses' using a variety of 2D shapes. We also worked with our friends to order the values on our dinosaur fact cards from shortest to tallest, heaviest to lightest and smallest to biggest.
In our English we have started to learn about Mary Anning and her fabulous dinosaur discoveries. We were able to link this to our PSHE leaning and think about how fair things may have been for Mary during her lifetime.
In our PE we have been thinking about how to move like different dinosaurs and used various pieces of music to inspire us. Within our music we have used percussion instruments to create sounds that represent a stegosaurus moving around.
